קֶהנסוּר ג'האדו רינפוצ'ה הוא אחד מהלאמות המוערכים ביותר במסורת הגלוּקפָה כיום. הוא ידוע בתבונתו החדה ובחמלתו הרבה, בסגנון לימוד דינמי וביכולתו ללמד גם תלמידים מערביים בצורה מעניינת ורלוונטית להם. מעל לכול רינפוצ'ה אהוב על רבים בשל טוב ליבו ונועם הליכותיו. ג'האדו רינפוצ'ה הינו המורה הרוחני של ידידי הדהרמה בישראל. 

טֶנְזִין ג'וּנְגְנֶה רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה (גָ'האדוֹ טוּלְקוּ) נולד כבן למשפחת נוודים בנַמְצוֹ-קָהאר שבצפון טיבט בשנת 1954. כבר בגיל שלוש הוא הוכר על ידי הדלאי לאמה כגלגול השישי של גָ'האדוֹ רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה, הובא אל מנזרו, ג'האדו גומפה, והופקד בידיו של נזיר שמוּנה להיות אחראי על גידולו וחינוכו של רינפוצ'ה הרך בשנים.

בעקבות דיכוי ההתקוממות הלאומית הטיבטית כנגד הפולש הסיני ב-1959 ברחה קבוצה של לאמות רמי מעלה מהאזור של רינפוצ'ה. הם אספו את רינְפּוֹצֶ'ה בן החמש ואת הנזיר שגידל אותו, ויחד יצאו בדרך חתחתים להודו דרך נפאל.

בהודו הצטרף רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה לבית הספר לטולקו (גלגולים מוכרים) בדַלְהוּסִי שבצפון הודו, שהה שם ובדָהרַמְסָלָה תשע שנים, וסיים את הלימודים הבסיסיים של הלשון הטיבטית, קריאה, כתיבה ושינון כתבים בודהיסטים.

משנת 1972 עד שנת 1990 למד רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה במנזר סֶרָה גֶ'ה שבדרום הודו, שם למד באופן מקיף ומעמיק ממאסטרים גדולים ביניהם ראש המנזר בדימוס, לובסנג וונגצ'וק. רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה השלים את לימודיו ובשנת 1991 השיג את דרגת גֶשֶה לָהארַמְפָּה, הדרגה הגבוהה ביותר במסורת הגֶלוּקְפָּה. רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה המשיך בלימודי טנטרה באוניברסיטה המנזרית הטנטרית גְיוּטוֹ. מאוחר יותר הוא קיבל העצמות, מסירת ידע שבע"פ והנחיות בע"פ מכבוד הדלאי לאמה ומשני מוריו של הדלאי לאמה, לינג רינפוצ'ה וטריגַ'נג רינפוצ'ה. בהתאם להנחיותיו של כבוד הדלאי לאמה, שעקב מקרוב אחר לימודיו של רינפוצ'ה, למד רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה בהרחבה אצל מאסטרים נושאי שושלות על-כיתתיים כמו טְרוּלְשִיק רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה (מסורת הניינגמה) וצ'וֹגְיֶה טְרִיצֶ'ן רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה (מסורת הסאקיה). כך שבנוסף להשכלתו רחבת ההיקף במסורת הגלוקפה, שכוללת גם התמחות מיוחדת בטנטרת קלצ'קרה,ייחודו של רינפוצ'ה הוא בהיותו בעל ידע מקיף ומעמיק במסורות השונות של הבודהיזם הטיבטי.

בשנת 1997, בהיותו בן 43 שנים בלבד, מינה הדלאי לאמה את גָ'האדוֹ רִינְפּוֹצֶ'ה לראש מנזר נַמְגְיַאל שבדָהרַמְסָלָה, המנזר האישי של הדלאי לאמה, ורינפוצ'ה כיהן כראש מנזר נַמְגְיַאל במשך שבע שנים.

במאי 2014 מונה ג'האדו רינפוצ'ה לראש מנזר גיוטו שבדהרמסלה, אחד משני הקולג'ים הטנטריים העיקריים במסורת הגלוקפה של הבודהיזם הטיבטי.

במקביל לפעילותו בקרב הקהילה הטיבטית, פועל רינפוצ'ה במונגוליה בשיקום ובתמיכה בתרבות הבודהיסטית – מונגולית, תמיכה קריטית למונגולים המתאוששים משנים רבות בהן שהו תחת חסותה של ברית המועצות הקומוניסטית. במסגרת זו תומך רינפוצ'ה בפרויקטים רבים שיזם המורה הדגול באקולה רינפוצ'ה, מלמד במנזרים בכל רחבי מונגוליה ומסייע לקהילות השונות בבירה אולאן באטאאר ובאזורים הכפריים. במסגרת פעילותו זו קיבל רינפוצ'ה בשנת 2014 את אות הכבוד כוכב מונגוליה – (Altan Gadas (Order of the Polar Star, אות כבוד מונגולי שנמסר לו על ידי שליח של נשיא מונגוליה שהגיע במיוחד לכבוד מאורע זה למנזר גיוטו שבצפון הודו. קודם לכן קיבל רינפוצ'ה אזרחות מונגולית כאות להערכה הרבה לפועלו במונגוליה. בפעילותו זו רינפוצ'ה מהווה דוגמא ומופת של שילוב הלימוד והתרגול האישי עם העשייה הרוחנית והחברתית.

מאז שפרש ממנזר גיוטו בתחילת 2017 מרבה ג'האדו רינפוצ'ה לנסוע ברחבי העולם וללמד את תלמידיו הרבים במונגוליה, ארצות הברית, גרמניה, איטליה, צרפת, אוסטרליה, סינגפור, יפן ועוד.

ביולי 2019 העניק ג'האדו רינפוצ'ה – אחד ממאסטרי הקלצ'קרה המוערכים של ימינו – העצמת קלצ'קרה לקהל של כ-40,000 משתתפים בבוריאטיה (Buryatia), אחת משלוש הרפובליקות הבודהיסטיות הרוסיות יחד עם קלמוקיה (Kalmykia) וטוּבה (Tuva), ולקחו בה חלק גם רבים ממונגוליה ומהעולם כולו.

ג'האדו רינפוצ'ה הינו המורה הרוחני של עמותת ידידי הדהרמה בישראל. רינפוצ'ה מלווה את עמותת ידידי הדהרמה בדרכה בהדרכתו יקרת הערך ובעצותיו המיטיבות. רינפוצ'ה ביקר ולימד מספר פעמים בארץ – אנחנו מקווים שיחזור ויגיע אלינו עוד פעמים רבות נוספות.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Khensur Jhado Tulku Rinpoche

Khensur Jhado Tulku Rinpoche is one of the most highly esteemed lamas in the Geluk lineage today. Renowned for his keen intelligence and dynamic teaching style, Jhado Rinpoche is also highly acclaimed for his ability to engage western students in ways that are interesting and personally relevant. In addition to these qualities, Rinpoche is also known and loved for his gentle demeanor and his kindness.

Khensur Tenzin Jungne Rinpoche (Jhado Tulku) was born in Northern Namtso-khar of Tibet in 1954. At the age of three He was recognized as the sixth reincarnation of Jhado Rinpoche. Following the suppression of the Tibetan national uprising against the Chinese invaders in 1959 Rinpoche fled to India via Nepal. He stayed for nine years at Dalhousie and Dharamsala in North India, where He finished His basic studies of Tibetan grammar, reading, writing and memorizing Buddhist scriptures. Rinpoche took his vows as a novice monk from His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1964 and his full ordination vows from the late Ling Rinpoche in 1973.

From 1972 till 1990 Rinpoche studied at Sera Je monastery in South India, where he received extensive teachings from many great lamas such as Khensur Rinpoche and the great master Lobsang Wangchuk. Rinpoche completed His studies and in 1991 He attained the degree of Geshe Lharampa, which is the highest rank of Gelugpa School. Rinpoche further pursued His Tantric studies in Gyuto Tantric Monastic University. Later on He received empowerments, oral transmissions and oral instructions from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and from the two main tutors of the Dalai Lama. In addition to his excellent education in the Gelug monastic college system, over the years Rinpoche has also received secret transmissions and many other teachings from non-sectarian lineage masters such as His Eminence Trulshig Rinpoche (Nyingma tradition) and Cho-gyed Tri-Chen Rinpoche (Sakya tradition). Hence, in addition to his wide education in the Gelug tradition, which includes special expertise in Kalachakra Tantara, Rinpoche’s uniqueness is in his vast and profound knowledge of the various traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.

In 1997 Rinpoche, being only 43 years of age, was appointed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the Abbot (Khenpo) and Spiritual Teacher of Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, the personal monastery of the Dalai Lama where he served as the Abbot for seven years.

In May 2014, Jhado Rinpoche was appointed as the abbot of Gyuto monastery- one of the main  two Tantric collages in the Gelug tradition.

As well as his activity for the Tibetan community, Rinpoche acts to support and reestablish the Buddhist- Mongolian community in Mongolia. This support is critical for the Mongolians, who are reviving from many years of being under the auspices of Communist Soviet Union. As part of his activity, Rinpoche supports many projects that were initiated by the great master Bakula Rinpoche, teaches in monasteries all over Mongolia and helps the various communities in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city and in rural areas. Due to these activities, in 2014 Rinpoche was granted a badge of Mongolian honor- Altan Gadas, Order of the Polar Star, by a messenger of the president of Mongolia, who came especially for this event to Gyuto Monastery in Northern India. Prior to that, Rinpoche was granted a Mongolian citizenship as a sign of respect to his great activities in Mongolia. By thus, Rinpoche serves as an exemplary of combining personal study and practice with spiritual and social actions.

Since Khensur Jhado Tulku Rinpoche retired from Gyuto in the beginning of 2017, he travels around the world, giving teachings to many of his students in Mongolia, Germany, Italy, France, the United States, Australia, Japan Singapore and more.

In July 2019 Jhado Rinpoche- one of the most esteemed Kalachakra masters of our time- conferred a Tantric initiation to an audience of approximately 40,000 participants in Buryatia, one of the three Russian Buddhist republics along with Kalmykia and Tuva. Many disciples participated from Mongolia and other countries in the world.

Jhado Rinpoche is the Spiritual Guide of Dharma Friends of Israel organization. Rinpoche accompanies the organization with his precious guidance and beneficial advice. He visited and taught a few times in Israel and we hope He will return to teach us many more times.
