Buddhism meets Judaïsm
On the occasion of Yom Kippur we will adjust the Nyüng Nä schedule to the times of the beginning and end of Yom Kippur.
The intention is not to make Buddhists into Jews, nor to make Jews into Buddhists, but to combine the energy that gets created by these very powerful days, which then we will dedicate to the peace and harmony of the world.
For wars and fighting to stop, for the 4 elements to regain their balance and for natural disasters like storms, earthquakes, landslides, floods and forest fires to be stopped.
The sessions will be as in the Nyüng Nä, a text based on the practice of Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion. In addition, we will add one evening session for meditation and discussion all around the subject of forgiving and being forgiven on the evening of Sunday, 20st of September.
On the main day of Yom Kippur, Monday 21st of September the ones that participate onsite will be in silence and will not eat or drink. (It is not possible to join onsite, as the retreat is full.)
If you participate on Zoom, of course it is up to you whether you will fast or not. The sessions of the Sadhana will be led, but no additional explanations or comments will be given.
