רובנו רגילים לחשוב על המציאות דרך תבניות קבועות – שולחן הוא שולחן, "אני" זה אני, והבעיות שלנו הן מוצקות ובלתי משתנות. אנחנו משקיעים מאמץ אדיר בניסיון לאחוז במה שנעים ולהרחיק מאיתנו את מה שקשה, מתוך תחושה שהדברים קיימים בדיוק כפי שהם משתקפים בעינינו.

ואולם, מה אם הדרך שבה אנחנו חווים את העולם היא פשוט טעות אופטית?
סוטרת הלב (The Heart Sutra) מציעה מבט הפוך לחלוטין לתפישתנו את המציאות.

זהו הלב של חוכמת הבודהיזם, והסיבה שהטקסט הקצר הזה מהדהד, נלמד ומדוקלם מדי יום בכל רחבי העולם הבודהיסטי כבר מאות שנים.

בעצתו של כבוד הדלאי לאמה סיים צנשאב סרקונג רינפוצ'ה שלוש שנים אינטנסיביות של לימוד אנגלית בקנדה, והוא רואה זכות לעצמו לשאת במחויבויותיו של קודמו, קיאבג'ה צנשאב סרקונג טוגסיי רינפוצ'ה, לסייע וללמד ככל שיינתן.

רינפוצ'ה מלמד בהודו, באירופה ובישראל תוך שהוא משלב את ניסיונו בלימוד ובתרגול הבודהיסטי עם היכרותו את העולם המערבי. שיעוריו שופעי חוכמה, חן והומור והם מרתקים ביותר.

The Heart Sutra: A Zoom Session with Tsenshap Serkong Rinpoche

Most of us are used to thinking about reality through fixed conceptual frameworks – a table is a table, "I" am I, and our problems are solid and unchangeable. We invest tremendous effort trying to grasp what is pleasant and push away what is difficult, based on the feeling that things exist exactly as they appear to us.

However, what if the way we experience the world is simply an optical illusion?
The Heart Sutra is offering a view that is completely antithetical to our ordinary perception of reality.
It does not speak of abstract philosophy, but of radical freedom. At the center of its short, precise sentences lies the concept of emptiness – the realization that things do not exist inherently, on their own, separate and isolated. Instead, they are constantly changing and entirely interdependent. As our rigid perception of ourselves and the world begins to soften, something deep within settles. The exhausting struggle with reality is replaced by compassion, clarity, and true freedom of movement.
This is the heart of Buddhist wisdom, and the reason this short text has resonated been studied, and recited daily throughout the Buddhist world for centuries.

We are delighted by the great privilege and extraordinary opportunity to deepen our understanding of this foundational text together.
Tsenshap Serkong Rinpoche has generously accepted our request and will lead a special Dharma Saturday via Zoom, dedicated entirely to the Heart Sutra.

Tsenshap Serkong Rinpoche – the reincarnation of one of the seven debate masters of His Holiness the Dalai Lama – received his Buddhist training at Ganden Jangtse Monastic University in South India. Having chosen to continue his dedication to the Dharma as a lay practitioner, he went on to study at the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics in Dharamsala.

At the advice of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tsenshap Serkong Rinpoche completed three intensive years of English studies in Canada. He considers it his privilege to carry the responsibilities of his predecessor, Kyabje Tsenshap Serkong Tugse Rinpoche – to serve and teach wherever he is able.

Rinpoche teaches in India, Europe, and Israel, combining his deep Buddhist study and practice with his understanding of Western culture. His teachings are full of wisdom, grace, and humor – and are deeply engaging.

When: The session will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, between 09:00-11.00, 12.00-13.30 Israel time zone, including a break.

Translation: The teachings will be open to all, accompanied by simultaneous translation into Hebrew by our friend Venerable Kartson, Yaki Platt, and into English by Venerable Ani Drolma.
